Christmas 2009

After comming home from Christmas Eve dinner the boys had Reinder food to put outside that we had made.

After that it was time to come inside and put out our cookies for Santa and then read "Twas the Night Before Christmas"

Christmas morning was a blast! the boys opened their presents and played with all of them!

Vigilia 2009

On Christmas eve we celebrate Vigilia (the polish Christmas eve) with Brian's family. It is a wonderful tradition, I am so glad our children are going to have such a wonderful tradition to carry on for years to come.

Brady's First Christmas Concert

In preschool today Brady had his first concert! his class came into the church and they sang songs and used the rythm sticks and he played a drum he made while they walked into the little drummer boy. He was so excited that the Christmas outfit I got him had a tie with it. He couldn't wait to get to school today! He had pleanty of support from family, Brian and I were there along with Cameron and Brian's parents and sister came also. It took him a few minutes to warm up with such a big audience but he did a great job!!!

Now I know my ABC's

On Monday Brady was playing with his magnadoodle and came running up to me, "mommy I made an H" Well he certainly had! he then also went on to make a B and an I. He has been using a Leapster letter toy that he got for his birthday that has you follow the lights to write the letter and tells you the sounds. Brady is to the point now that he can hear a word and tell you what letter it starts with. He is doing so well! We are really proud of him.

15 weeks!

So I'm 15 weeks into this pregnancy, I did have some nausea until about two weeks ago but am feeling better. Unfortunately i have been getting headaches alot. I just recently started going to the chiropractor and I'm hoping this will help. I have been trying to make it to the gym, but having to go at 4:45 in the morning can be difficult. I have been averaging about 3 days a week, but would like to increase that to 5 days a week. Brady is super excited and gives the baby kisses all the time, Cameron still doesn't quite get it. He will be moving out of his room after Christmas and into Brady's room, I'm hoping that goes well.

We have our big ultrasound on January 7th. We still haven't decided if we will find out the gender of the baby. We may keep everyone guessing until the end!!!

The First Snow

Saturday night before Brady went to bed, Brian showed him that it was snowing out. BIG MISTAKE! Brady woke up at 5AM singing in his room and asking if he could go out and play in the snow. After Cameron got up we had a nice breakfast of home made waffles and sausage (thank you dada) and went outside to play in the snow. Cameron was all excited to go outside, then he realized that snow is wet. Something Cameron doesn't really like right now. So we stayed out for a while but eventually came in, leaving Brady and dada to play in the snow. Once Brady and Dada came in we had hot cocoa which of course both boys loved. we are looking forward to many more fun times in the snow.

New Family Portraits

Every year around this time we get new photos done of the family for Christmas cards. While I wasn't overly fond of the girl who took out pictures she did manage to get one nice shot of each of the boys, and a nice family one. I also took some pictures before we left seeing as we were all dressed up for pictures anyway!

Christmas came early!

Okay, okay so we know it's early but Brady has been dying to put the christmas tree up and well, so have I. So instead of waiting until next Friday we decided to do it today. Brady had such a good time putting all the ornaments on, Cameron put some on but was more fascinated with the lights and all. My favorite time of the year is HERE!!!

An Early Thanksgiving Dinner

With thanksgiving coming up we decided to have our own Thanksgiving dinner for the daycare kids. Okay so we didn't cook a turkey for them, they had chicken nuggets, but we did make stuffing, mashed potatoes, squash and cranberry sauce. Of course most of the kids didn't really touch the sides and only ate the chicken nuggets but atleast they were exposed to some othe food before Thanksgiving and maybe they'll try it on Thanksgiving. We had fun and so did the kids and that's all that really counts right?

Our New "Breakfast Nook"

I just finished a weekend project - I made a "breakfast nook" by taking out the wall between our kitchen and living room. You can see the before and after pictures below. Note that the original "before" pictures were taken in 2007 when I cut a hole in the wall to add a window. Then I took the window out to take down the whole wall to create the breakfast bar.

Fall Is Here

We all love the fall weather. We've been raking and jumping in the leaves and most recently went to the pumpkin lighting festivle at the town hall. Brady got to get his face painted and they danced to the music and got to see all the carved pumpkins. I really love living in a small town, It's so nice to go to things and know lots of people, brady even saw some of his friends from his class.

Happy Birthday Brady!

Dear Brady,

4 years ago today you came into our lives and from that day on we haven't been able to imagine life with out you. You make us laugh on a daily basis, you're silly and carefree but at the same time you seem wise beyond your years. You have a very caring heart and are always concerned for others. You warm our hearts each and every day and we love you!

Happy Fourth Birthday our baby boy!

The Big E

On saturday morning we, along with the Wicks headed to Springfield for the big E fair. Since it was raining we decided to head to the hotel and hang out in the hotel and go to the pool and go to the big E on Sunday when it was going to be sunny.
We all had a good time, the boys fell asleep in the car on the way home, which made for a nice quiet ride.

The boys asleep on the car ride home!
