Just a thought

It seems whenever I drive by someone who has been stopped by a cop on the side of the road, they are almost always on their cell phone. Why is this?

Something to Ponder...

The previous owner of my house left his garbage cans, but they are in poor condition. The wheels are broken, they have big holes in them, and they need to be retired. I tried to put them out for the trash men to take, and they didn't. I guess I can't blame them, I mean, people usually expect the cans will remain behind. But eventually, all garbage cans become garbage themselves.

Anyone know how to go about throwing them away???

Junk Pays

This one-of-a-kind truck belongs to the owner of a local auto junk yard. His license plate says "Junk Pays". I see the truck parked all the time at his business.

Today, on the highway, I drove by the truck. It got me thinking. I'll bet most of the cars I pass I've seen before. They just aren't as memorable.

Here's another example. You go to a store and run into someone you know. How odd that you were both in the store at the same time. Then again, I'll bet you've crossed paths with most of the people in the store, you just didn't realize it. Woah, that's deep. I guess you big-city folk wouldn't understand this post.

Welcome, Princess Bride.

The Princess Bride's blog is up and running. Now, anyone wanna place bets as to how long it takes the Princess Bride's "Prince", and I use that term very, very, loosely, to start his own?

Hmmm....

Random Fact of the Day

According to the International Federation of Competative Eating, http://www.ifoce.com, Oleg Zhornitskiy currently holds the world record for mayonnaise eating. In just 8 minutes, he downed 4, that's right, 4 32-ounce bowls of the stuff.

Wow, now there is something to be proud of. Perhaps the Doc would like to challenge him! Now that would be something to see.

Microsoft Paint

In Microsoft Paint, the "undo" button is so underrated. It is such a valuable way to erase your last stroke. Its great for when you make a mistake. Why can't they have that in the real world? It would have come in handy this weekend when I was painting my kitchen!

For Better Or For Worse II

Happy third anniversary goes out tonight to the Doc and his mistress, Princess Sophia. I knew they'd make it, course I do take credit for them getting together in the first place. :)

For Better Or For Worse

The marriage of Manny and Red Sox Nation is still on the rocks, two days after the trade deadline cemented Manny's place on the team for at least a little while longer. Here's my take: The Patriots have built a dynasty around the idea that "there is no I in teamwork", to use an old cliche. Well, I think the Red Sox should take that same cue. If Manny wants to be a stand-alone superstar, let him go elsewhere. Bill Belichick would never put up with Manny's BS, and Terry Francona shouldn't either.

Something To Ponder

Packing fragile items is very annoying, because you have to use a lot of newspaper and it takes a long time just to pack one box.

Moving Day's Coming Up!

If anyone is interested, I will be hosting a "moving day" fiesta on August 13th at "la casa de Stack." Following a couple of hours of hard labor moving boxes, couches, and tables, I'll be cooking up some BBQ on the grill and opening the pool, pending good weather.

Festivities begin at 10:00 at the condo, and end whenever. If you are around, feel free to drop by. If you have plans, no big deal! I won't hold it against you! :)

Carrie Underwood Can Do No Wrong

There she is... performing just for me last night at the Verizon Wireless Arena in Manchester, NH, the SECOND most beautiful girl in the world (second, of course, to my beautiful wife!)

Now, I don't claim to be any big Idol fan, but yes, I enjoyed myself at the concert last night...good tunes, good show, and of course, Carrie.

Let's see, other than watching Carrie, what else was good? Well, Scott & Jessica did an awesome duet of Total Eclipse of the Heart. Bob Ice (Bo Bice for you regulars) was good as usual, though he fell off the stage and broke his foot! Anwar and Anthony (sorry, Princess Sophia) both put me to sleep, and Constantine's version of Bohemian Rhapsody rocked! Good show overall.
