Apple picking

On sunday we went to Apple Crest Farm to pick some apples and enjoy the nice weather. We went with Babcia, Dziadziu, great Babcia and Auntie Alyssa. Brady got his face painted and got to go an a hay ride and of course pick apples. He was so excited to do everything this year! A year has made a huge differance for him. Cameron was a little under the weather, not sure if he's getting his 2 year molars or what, but I sure hope he feels better soon.

School Days!

Brady started his first day in the 4 year old program today. He'll go Tues., Wed., and Thursday from 9-11:30. Drop off is different this year because the parents don't bring the kids in to the school. This year the teachers take the kids out of the car and take them into the class room. He was a little nervous, but did great! He hopped out of the car and said bye mom! He's getting so big! I'm so proud of him.

Summer is coming to an end!

Students are heading back to school next week, which means two things. First, Brian will have much more to do at work and second, the amount of kids I have will get much bigger! We have been trying to take advantage of the days we have left of summer. On Friday we took the boys to the children's museum in Boston! again they had a blast, we now are members and have a pass which allows us to bring in 6 people for free as many times as we want during the year.

On sunday we decided to hit the beach with Shanna, Dave and Mackenzie. The waves were huge! so big that we really could only stick our feet in. any more than that and you would have got swept away. It's hard to believe that the summer is almost over and Brady will start back to preschool next Tueasday!

Almost time to Potty Train

Brian and I decided to bring up the little potty for Cameron just so he could start to see it and get aquainted with it. the first time we put him on the potty he screamed and wanted to get off. So we haven't pushed it. However, Brady being a good big brother has been asking Cameron to come in the bathroom with him when he has to go. The past couple of days Cameron has started asking to go "pee" yesterday he told me had to go pee and pointed to the bathroom. I took him in, took off his diaper and he sat down. he sat for a few minutes and and said he was all done. not wanting to push the issue I said okay and told him I'd go get a diaper. he stood up and about 30 seconds later he peed on the floor. So although I wasn't overly happy that he peed on the floor. I was happy that he is obviously getting close to using the potty and isn't even two yet!

A fun summer day

This past weekend it was so hot that we decided to do a pool day! and to complete the day we got lobsters and cooked them here for dinner. When I say we I mean Shanna, Dave and Brian. I certainly wasn't having any! It was a great day. the kids played in the pool all day and so did we. So Much fun. too bad it's pretty much the end of summer and now we're getting the summer weather.

growing up so fast

As you can see Brady is growing by leaps and bounds. not only did he graduate to a big boy bike but also has graduated to swimming with swimmies! He no longer needs to wear his big muscle man suit. Which he loves because that means he can wear any bathingsuit he wants. It's sometimes hard to believe how quickly he is growing up. In two weeks he'll be starting back to preschool. He goes 3 days a week this year. he's very excited!

A new toy room!

Ok well it's not new just remodeled. It is Brightly colored and screams kids room! I even got in on the action and painted with Brian. We added in a cubby system.

Trying to beat the heat

It has gotten pretty warm this week, and seeing as I don't allow daycare kids in our pool, I got a kiddie pool and the sprinkler out and let the kids go to town. I put a small pool on the deck for the little ones and a bigger one in the yard. This kept the kids entertained for quite some time! It was a very nice day!

Train set

Brian's grandmother gave the boys the old train set that Brian and Jason used to play with when they were little. Brady happened to see the box down in the basement and asked us to set it up. He had a Blast playing with it being the conductor. I'm sure great Babcia will be thrilled to hear how much he loved it.

Hazy, Hot and Humid

So it has taken awhile to get some real beach weather. The past two nights as soon as the daycare kids have left we have take the boys to the beach. We've packed a picnic dinner and had a lot of fun. the boys absolutely love the beach. They love digging in the sand and playing in the water.

Big boy bike!

Brady has been using a small big wheels type bike lately and has been doing a great job with the pedals. once he saw that Brian and I had big bikes all he could talk about was getting a mommy/daddy bike, as he called it. Babcia and dziadziu wanted to buy him a bike for his Birthday, and decided it would be better to give it to him early so he could use it during the summer, so yesterday we went to Toys R Us and he picked out his very first big boy bike/early birthday present. he chose a blue and orange Diego bike which is kind of ironic seeing as he doesn't even watch diego but I think he liked the colors. after we got home and put it together he was ready to ride. Brian took his bike and Brady's to the next street which is a culsdesac and they rode their bikes. He did AWSOME! obviously he still has the training wheels on but if I know him it won't be long before he's asking to take them off.

family time

So we started off our vacation with a trip to Storyland with Auntie Shanna, Uncle Dave and Mackenzie, We all had a blast! We left Friday and came home on Sunday We stayed at Attitash in a really awsome condo, with 3 bedrooms, which worked out really well. We all had a lot of fun at Storyland, of course Brady was all about the fast rides, which left Cameron out of a few of them but he held his own. We went to the circus which was really good! Even Cameron liked it.

On Monday we decided to stay home and get the kids back on schedule. After they had their naps we went to Windham Park because it was such a nice day. We stopped at Brian's parents house on the way home and the boys got to pick some raspberries and Blueberries. Cameron had never ventured out to try raspberries but decided that he loved them.

Today we took the kids, along with Babcia and great Babcia to Yorks wild animal kingdom. They really liked seeing all the animals and feeding the goats and the deer. At one point there were two ducks that were int he middle of the walkway and Cameron went right up to them and quacked and they went right back in the water. It was very funny. Brian and I are wondering if Cameron speaks Duck! Anyhow everyone had a good time and the kids are in now in bed and asleep. Tomorow We're heading to Revere to see the Wicks' and got to the park and see Sill Willy the Clown! It should be another fun day.

Another sunny day and good friends to spend the day with! We had a BBQ with the Pam, Charlie and the kids, and Scott Crystal and Thomas. All the kids played together and the adults got to sit and talk and go in the pool a nice day had by all.
