Old Home Day

I have been going to Old Home Day ever since I can remember, and we have been bringing the boys each year since they have been born. We started today off with the children's parade. Brady drove his power wheels and towed the wagon in the back with Cameron in it.
The kids got to see all the characters walking around, including sponge bob, and curious george. Both boys also were entered in the baby contest, neither won, but that's ok,they are still the cutest boys to us!!!

Bath Time and New Summer PJ's

It was finally warm out today so we had the opportunity to go to the park, and swim in the pool. I also ordered the boys some new summer PJ's from the disney store because they were having a huge sale! They took a bath to get all the sand off of them from the park and had a blast with the new bath foam we got. We are looking forward to tomorow, when we will go to Plaistow old home days, hopefully we'll get some video to put up.

Rain Rain, Go Away!

We have been having alot of rain here and we have had to get pretty inventive to keep the kids occupied. We set up a tent one day in the living room, another day we pulled the kitchen set right out into the living room and had a full restaurant and grocery store. All in all it hasn't been too bad but we are really looking forward to some sun!!!!

mommy's quiet time

Last night I was up sick pretty much all night, Brian ended up taking the boys with him this morning because he had to go to namco to buy a new pool filter, (that's a whole other post) I helped out as much as a could during the day but wasn't feeling up to much. Luckily both boys were in good moods and behaving really well. Brian decided to go have dinner with his family tonight so I could have some time to myself. Although I am enjoying the quiet time I'm finding myself looking through photo albums and at old blog posts. It amazes me that some days they can drive me up a wall and I can't wait to have some me time and other days I can't get enough of them. The way Brady puts his hands on his hips and sizes a situation up and down just like Brian and then says, yup I think we need to go to home depot. Or the way cameron just comes up and gives me a kiss or the way he laughs his little laugh, it's funny how much more you appreciate them when you have a chance to reflect on them. Love you Boys!

Memorial day

Today was such a beautiful day! the kids got to play outside and enjoy the beautiful weather. As you may notice in some of the pictures that the car Brady is driving is different. the one he got at Christmas never worked right and Toys R Us was nice enough to work with us to give us another one. Also you may notice that Cameron got a hair cut, I came home the other day to find Brian had cut his hair. I was quite stunned to say the leaste. He looks like such a big boy to me now! Anyhow, Memorial day was wonderful, the kids got to see their babcia and dziadziu and auntie, Brian made some great food and babcia made a wonderful dessert. A nice day had by all.

One Year Ago

One year ago we had been getting ready to celebrate for memorial day, My sister, parents and I were deciding who was going to bring what to the cookout, and what time the festivities would begin. Little did we know that things were going to take such a sudden turn when my dad went in for a heart catheterization. He was told he wasn't going home, but to another hospital to have a quadruple bypass, the next day. Well a year has passed and he is doing great! We are happy that this year he is healthy and able to reflect back on that dark time and look at the positives that came out of it, because had it not been caught he wouldn't be here today. We love you dad/Pappa!

Mother's Day

Well I have to say I had a wonderful Mother's day, Thanks to my wonderful Hubby! He let me sleep in, I slept until 8:30. I can't tell you the last time that happened was. Then he made his mother and me a wonderful Brunch. Of course just being able to spend the day with my boys was good enough for me, but I also got a gift certificate to be able to go and have my hair and nails done. Later in the day after the boys woke from their naps we went to Brian's Grandparents house and got to see the whole family! I think it is so great that my boys are able to be apart of such a big family. I looked out the window at one point and saw brian and Brady standing there with his father and Grandfather, how wonderful to have 4 generation together!

Seeing as my mom had to work at the flower shop during mother's day we'll be celebrating it with her this comming weekend. hope all the moms out there had a wonderful day!

The Boston Children's museum

During Brian's April vacation we took the kids to the children's museum. Both the boys had a blast!!!

Enjoying the summer like weather

This weekend it was so gorgeous we decided to hit some parks and have some fun with the boys. It is so nice that Cameron can now walk and like to play at the park. He enjoys being outside just as much as Brady does. You can see how warm is was by Cameron's pink cheeks. He takes after his mommy in the respect.

18 Month Stats

Cameron went for his 18 month appointment today and the Doctor was happy with his growth and development. he weighed in at 24.6 lbs putting him in the 25% and his height was 32.75 inches putting him in the 50%. He will be going on Thursday for surgery to get his tubes in his ears. We are hoping this will stop the rampant ear infections. Wish him luck!

The Infamous Banana Dog

The other day we decided to do something different for lunch. So we made banana dogs! It's really just a hotdog roll with a banana and I gave them bags with peanutbutter and jelly so they could squeeze it onto their 'hotdog' and then were given a few chocolate chips to sprinkle on top! All the kids loved them, even our picky eaters ate them. As you can see from Brady's picture he really liked them!

Easter!

Easter started early for the boys on Thursday when we did an easter egg hunt with the daycare kids.
On saturday Pam and Charlie came over with the boys and Pam cooked us dinner because they missed Brian's 30th Bday party. On Sunday, we were up bright and early as Brady has been getting up at 6:00am. The boys came downstairs to find their Easter basket and did another Easter egg hunt. Later we went to Brian's parents house for Brunch and they got another easter basket. It was a very nice relaxing morning. We came home to let the boys take a nap and then headed to my parents house for dinner, where they get yet another Easter present. It was a nice day to spend with family! The boys looked so handsome in their Easter outfits.
